SATA 6.0 GB/s port help

Guys, I got a (ASUS P7P55D-E Pro LGA 1156 Intel P55 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard). Does my old SATA3.0 drives work on the 6.0? Or is there SATA6.0 drives out there? If o which u guys recommend?

SATA is backwards compatable. You should have no problems using a SATA2 drive on a SATA3 interface.

Also, you are confusing your terminology.

SATA1 = 1.5Gb/s
SATA2 = 3 Gb/s
SATA3 = 6Gb/s

My computer is a couple years old so it doesn't support SATA3, so I haven't researched them throughly.

In general, I prefer WD (western digital) black series drives and seagates.
