Problem with pII x6 1055t

I overclocked my 1055 to 3.85ghz, vcore 1.4, ht 2200.
when ever i try to run primetest or stability test from AMD overdrive, speed always dropped to 2.0ghz when the temp reached 70c, then when temp goes down to 60c full speed again. Always speed dropped when the temperature reached 70c.

I have already disable C&Q and C1E frm bios and set performance setting to high in windows.

my mb is m4a88td v evo and with asus lionsquare cooler.

Any helps would be greatly appreciated

Do you disable Turbo core too?

I don't know much about that mobo, but there is probably some type of protection built into the bios. Temp >70 is too hot for Phenom II's. Most recommendations are not to run it above 62c.

^+1 to saint19, make sure to disable Turbo core!

I am at 3.71ghz with my 1055t and CM 212+ cooler and never see above 50c.
