Hey guys,

I had a question about the motherboards for these cpus. I was wondering what is a good motherboard for sli or crossfire? Another question I had was that I'm confused about the sli/crossfire. I don't get the whole 16x, 8x, 4x on some mobos. Can anyone help?

P55 splits the 16x pci lane to 8x/8x when in SLI. If your running 2 fast cards like the upcoming 5870, it will be a bottleneck.

Where as the X58 runs 16x/16x when using 2 cards.

So should I even look forward to the new dx11 cards? I don't get why it will bottleneck. Please explain. I need to see if i want to continue buying parts for my i5.

Will the 2 XFX Radeon's 4890 bottleneck with this setup?
