Hi,
I'm using a P5W DH Deluxe and running windows 7
but windows drivers don't detect my firewire which is on the MB
does anybody know where I can find a driver that will get the firewire working?

I think you need to install the firewire drivers that came with your motherboard. If you don't have the install disc, you should look for them on Asus website, starting with your motherboard's product description page.
