Ok... but what will you mainly be using it for?

Pros: Okay for an entry level card and on a 19" monitor, as cheap as $104 recertified EVGA on Newegg.

Cons: Will lag on 22" monitors, avg to blocky framerates on Crysis at high settings, for another $50 (worth it IMO) you can move up to a GTX 260. The 9800 GTX now is like last year's 8600 GTS.

The 4850 beats it in performance and in price. The 4850 is a better value.

Ok great thank you. I primaliary going to use it for gaming, and yes i only have a 19"monitor. I just bought the GTX to replace my radeon 1950 XT ( yea i know its old) because i was tryin to play CoD WaW and it kept over heating and/or crashing. So you think i should return it and get the 4850. I just dont know what to choose nivida or radeon

If you already purchased it and you're happy with the performance, keep it I guess. Unless you paid too much for it and can find a 4850 and still get back $30 - $40 in th price difference.

To keep the video card cool and hopefully help it to last 2 or 3 years, set your fan manually (riva tuner or EVGA Precision) to 90 or even 100% while you play.

^download riva tuner, that will let you set profiles up, and control the fan speeds.

Actually,
1. A 9800GTX will max out any game except Crysis on a 19' monitor

2. For 19' monitors, it will not be laggy at all - even for Crysis.
A 9800GTX will play Crysis with an average of 50 fps. You even can turn almost every thing to very high (except Post Processing) and still average at least 35 fps. I'm speaking from personal experience because I used to have a 9800GTX @ stock.

3. The 9800GTX has almost the same benchmarks as the 4850. They are also similar in price. The does beat it by a small margin if you turn up AA.

4. A 9800GTX is still considered a good high end card. It's near the bottom of the high end hierarchy, but still high end nonetheless.
