Hey guys, im building a new computer. Im lookign to make a gamign computer. I have about 700$ to spend. I am using this website to buy my stuff on http://www.frostyscomputers.com/

Would someone help me make a good computer? Ive looked into the graphics card already. And this seems to be the best for the money. SAPPHIRE RADEON HD 4670 PCIE 2.0 512MB GDDR3 HD VIDEO, HDMI.

Thanks guys!

You will be disappointed, I'm afraid. That's not really a gaming card. Also, a HD 4830 would have twice the power for less than twice the cost, so I guess it's better bang for the buck.

Have you tried www.newegg.com too? That's the best place for US builders these days AFAIK.

Do you already have anything - Windows, case, DVD burner, some hard drive, speakers, mouse, keyboard, monitor?

I would personally pick the system by JaredAudioPhile... I don't personally go for ATI but it is a good system. People on Tom's will answer any questions about assembling or troubleshooting. Newegg is the best place to buy parts.

I am a fan of AMD. When I recently upgraded my computer, I looked extensively at AMD processors. I haven't found anything have found that certain of their processors are very good processors. I don't know a lot about Intel other than that they have the very top of the line processors, but Intel steeply dropped prices after AMD came into the game many years ago. This would imply that they had unjustly high prices until competition came into the game. So I don't care for the company. Intel makes many good processors, but I can't speak about any individual processor. AMD has always had good business practice even if this was required simply for their survival with the competition of Intel.

I go with whatever works the best. If you take a look at the builds listed on this thread I would go with the build I posted...well that is if your into gaming. I'm all about frames per second, but maybe the OP and yourself aren't. If that's the case, then maybe the AMD build would be the way to go. :)
