Hey all. I am wanting to play my 360 through my computer screen every once in a while. I have no HDMI connections on my monitor, but I do have a DVI. If I purchase a HDMI to DVI converter, will I encounter any errors from my monitor? Are there any other ways of running my 360 through my monitor?

For the curious, I am only doing this when xbox live-specific buddies want to play 360 games. It kind of makes everything a bit more streamlined (read: makes me lazier) for me as well.

Thanks.

it should work if you get hdmi->dvi cable but you wont get any audio

alternatively you can get the VGA cable for the 360

I've never seen a female HDMI connector to DVI, but, since they're compatible technologies, in theory, it works.

I was bored so before anyone replied I went out and bought a HDMI to DVI connector and yes, it worked. And yes, I realized what a dunce I was for trying to "streamline" something without thinking about the audio aspect. Hooray for teh stoopid.

Thanks for the replies though!
