I noticed how old the Crytek engine is getting now. Even though Crysis Wars is more gpu intensive than the original Crysis, we should have a single card solution by now to run this game at 60 solid frames per second without any heavy drops to keep you in the experience. And I'm talking *single card*, *single core* to avoid any micro stuttering caused by gx2 and x2 cards to achieve a nice and smooth experience.
Even the 295 gtx which is a gx2 card gets beasted by Crysis Warhead, and it seems like the cards are holding back the stock cpu's and overclocked cpu users out there from reaching their full potential.
My main question is, when will there be a single card solution that will run Crysis Warhead at those 60 solid fps say with 1920 x 1080 res, 4x or maybe 8x AA with the graphics at full settings? I know nobody can know the exact dates of stuff like this, but I'm basically looking for some estimations. Are we talking summer of 09? Fall of 09? perhaps having to wait untill 2010?
I like to consider myself someone that likes hardware, but what about the simple people that just want to snap that card in and game? And that's exactly how I feel about Crysis Warhead =[

Hmmmm. Probably the GTX500's or HD 8000's. So.... 24-36months.
But I'm sure we'll see something that looks much better than Crysis running much more nicely by then.... or raytracing. Maybe we'll NEVER see anything run Crysis at solid 60fps (single gpu) because ray-tracing will take over, and cards won't get any better at rasterization (sp?).
