I put my parts together, try to boot up and it won't get past the ugly Gigabyte splash screen. Won't go into bios. Just hangs there.

I remove 1 stick of ram and off we go! No worries. I swap sticks, again, no worries. So both sticks are fine by themselves, it's just when I try putting both in that the comp won't even get past the 1st splash screen and not even let me into the bios.

Any hints would be GREATLY appreciated :)

Your ram needs like 2.1v and the mobo default is 1.8 The 1.8 allows it to post with one stick but not 2. Post, set ram voltage to 2.1 add other stick and enjoy.

looks like that did the trick. Thanks for the info. Wish this stuff would be in the manual. If it was and I missed it, I'm more clumsy than I realized :)
