I was going to have this built for me by ava $2275 to my doorstep.
AutoCad 10% and COD 1-5 80% of usage. Please let me know if I'm being taken to the cleaners.
at this point I'm way over budget but need something to grow into to replace my 'amish avenger'
My big question is do I need a contol card for an SAS drive or will it work off the P6T just fine?

Well, I added up the parts you have listed and it came to about 1870.00, but I don't know for sure about the liquid cooling, I figured about 400 for it, and the warranty wasn't figured in to my stuff, and is this with a monitor and operating system??? And I didn't add in shipping either!

ok, well here are the prices I found on newegg:
PSU=240.00
Case=60.00
DVD=25.00
Card Reader=15.00
HDD=320.00
Graphics=235.00
Mem=89.00
Motherboard=205.00
CPU=280.00
So the H2O=68.00
Vista Home Prem 64 bit=100.00 for OEM

I don't know if you don't want to build or are affraid to do it, but you can do this with better prices if you build it yourself...although, you don't get a warranty except from the manufacturer for each item of your build, not for the whole thing. If you feel better buying a whole system from a vendor...thats fine, but you can do it better yourself and save a little money too! These guys on here are whizzes at doing this stuff and will be glad to help you.

so $638+/- to OC and cover for 3 years... I have more time than money but I'm too much of a ch*cken sh*t to do it myself. I'm ok adding parts too it, but whipping it up from scratch is more than this noob is willing to take on.

NO ? but I think my config will flyby that... bluray does nothing 4 me, the 260-216 vidicard is all i'm willing to pay for NOW and think it will be good and cheap too sli later.

going with P6T deluxe not V2 strickly for the SAS onboard. I may 'degrade' to 7200rpm SATA backup drives later.

I know I'm giving them good coin to build this rig for me. I guess I have to figure 10% = $220 profit + 200 to OC (they say it's free.. for a limited time) and 200 to underwrite it for 3 years, I just want to know how out of line it is.
