Hi,

This might be a daft question, but..

My PSU died playing Call of Duty World at War, bought a replacement (cheap as I could get 650w) which worked fine for a few days just in windows, but died 5 minutes in the first time I tried playing CoD. Is this likely just because I bought a cheap nasty one and I can just buy a higher quality and be ok, or could there something else killing them and I'd just destroy a more expensive PSU too?

Cheers

It died because you bought a cheapie.

Post system specs and we can recommend PSU size and brand.

Looking at 500W OCZ StealthXStream (http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?product_id=21425&category_id=646&manufacturer_id=0) as it says sufficient for mainstream gaming PC's.
