hi, i just got a new fan and find that it is 3 pin but original and connector on motherboard has 4 can i still fit the 3 pin?

A 3 pin fan on a 4 pin mobo works great. It is tabbed so it will only fit one way. That last pin is for pwm control, which a 3 pin fan does not use.

it'll work fine you just don't get the speed management
