hai this is balu from india iam musician my present pc config is

AMD Athlonx2 1.99 gig
2 GB Ram
400 GB HDD
GIGABYTE Mother board
Windows XP SP 2

iam planing to new pc up grade with this config

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard Drive
4 GB DDR3-1600MHz RAM

I don't know your prices there. Currently the new Intel i5 CPU costs less than the AMD X4 965 (here in the US) and performs better.

However, perhaps it is not available there yet or the pricing is different.

The parts you have listed will all work together well.

A good power supply is very important. I know they are expensive and there are not many good ones available, but you should consider investing in one.

the i5 750 is a really good contender and the phenom 2 955 is $50 less than the 965, and you can oc it to 3.8 or undervolt it drastically, a 965 and a 785g board are noot such a solid match, c if you can get a 790gx/790fx board

^ I agree with proximon and xaira, I have a 955 OC to 3.8GHz and the performance is great...but in performance comparation, the i5 is much better that the 955 or 965...and I'm not a fanboy of AMD or INTEL, just I see the performance/price.
