Just wanted to say thanks for the helpful comments on my previous post. Today, I just finished buying all the parts. I spent more than I had budgeted for by about $100, but what are you going to do.
Power Supply CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V 69.24
My friend has an antec p182 laying around, so he's donating to the cause. I was going to go with the Antec 300. But that saves me like $50.
I also paid 260 for the ASUS MK421h 24" monitor.
Possible points of contention I may run across:
1. If the open box mobo is screwed up, I may be screwed.
2, If the seagate HDD is screwed, I"ll have to RMA.
3. Above prices include $100 of MIR, so hopefully I get them.
That looks like an incredible deal on HD/GPU combo! Nice shopping! Did you find that on Newegg?
Gutsy choice on the open-box mobo. I see it shaved $100 off. I just couldn't chance it myself and ended up going with the uber-budget MSI (and I still paid more than you!)
Hope everything works out for you, post some benchmarks one you've got everything up and running.
