DVD Drive Question

hello new to these forums
i have a GH22NS50 dvd multi disc burner was wondering if this is capable of reading blu ray disc and also burning then what software is required and firmware also .thanks Chrishttp://img.tomshardware.com/forum/uk/icones/smilies/pt1cable.gif

No, you'll need an actual BD-ROM to play/read Bluray's. There are a few hardware differences that do not allow for the playing of BD-Rom's in a DVD, i.e. different lasers, etc... Check out Newegg though, as BD-Rom's are pretty cheap these days and easy to install in a desktop.

thanks went out and bought one this morning (SAMSUNG BLU-RAY COMBO 8X BLACK BD ROM/DVD WRITER) $130 what do you recommend as software using PAV-tube at the moment .
