I'm using Speedfan to monitor the temps on my new card. I put it into a system where I know the power supply is borderline for it (Asus T3 250w). So far it ranges from 54c idle to 62c when under load (playing a game for example). Is that OK?

I just discovered that SpeedFan reports on a lot of things wrong with my particular motherboard. I thought the voltages were way off (3.33 reporting as 1.33, vcore at 1.18, -12v as 18.9 and so on). Did some more research and I have one of the unsupported mobos. So, back to the Asus Probe II plus GPU-Z. Probe II reports normal voltages straight across, 38c CPU, 51c mobo, and GPU-Z reports pretty steady 53c at idle to 61c max on the card. That seems pretty good for what I have hiding in this thing. :D

Most likely you'll experience slowdown then visual artefacts cropping up, if it's overheating and finally the machine will probably turn off. If it's more than 6 months old you should check that dust isn't obstructing the fan flow, though those temperatures seem ok for a stock cooled card, maybe a little high - like I said check the dustiness.

It's a brand new card -- low profile version and located in a small case with only a 250w power supply. Airflow is an issue.
