The Bus/Core ratio of Core i7 is at least 20. Does this mean that an Core i7 is a very good overclocker? In addition, it seems that the FSB of Core i7 is not related to CPU speed and Bus/Core ratio anymore. Hence there's no way for us to determine the best ratio between the FSB and RAM which is 2:1 in C2D/C2Q/P4. How do you choose the RAM for i7 if you don't want to have any waste then? (p.s. For "WASTE", I mean that the RAM outperform what we need. For example, the DDR2-1066MHz is a waste for 1333MHz FSB CPUs which need only 667MHz RAMs. ) By the way, a link of article is fine if it's very hard to explain, although I hate reading long stories. Thanks a lot!
Could you please explain with more detailed information on the memory multipliers? What's the difference between the memory and clock multiplier? Thank you.
