Hello everyone I recently noticed that almost all lists with checkboxes/ratio buttons on my windows xp comp have either "-on" or "-off" listed after them, depending on if the box is checked or not. (image below). Does anyone know how to remove this?

Thanks in advance!

Did you install something to do with xp customize lately?

On the other hand, it could be caused by a registry entry, that you need to disable, but can't think where something like that could be....

Nope, haven't changed any software in quite a while.

Just discovered today that this is limited to my user account only (the guest and administrator accounts are as they should be)

Check the Ease of Access settings. It may be a feature that's designed to make it easier for people with disabilities to determine what's enabled and what's disabled. It'd be in the same menu as Microsoft Narrator and Magnifier.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys!

I checked the ease of access and didn't see anything about listing on or off BUT...

After running a java update the -on and -off have disappeared! Seems strange and unrelated, but that was the fix!
