Paste does not work in windows xp

Hello,
i have a virtual pc where i can copy to the clipboard but when i try to paste the option is greyed out, also ctrl v does not work. Any Ideas?

Hi. Are you trying to paste something from one OS to another one. You can only paste within the same OS ie copy and paste in windows only or copy and paste in your virtual machine only.You can set up a folder to share files between the two though ( a bit like networking)
