I need some help deciding which LCD i should buy (my 1st one so i have no experience.) Since i live in South Africa prices are a bit high, but ive narrowed my wallet down to these 5 monitors. All of them are 19" Wide screens.
I like the first LG (W1942S-BF) coz it looks nice and it has a F Engine gadget. I've tried looking at most of their specs and most are the same; 5ms response, similar contrast ratios, think all of them have TN panels and have VGA input but i cant seem to find the LGs on their home site only similar ones.
So which one would be the best to get?
Any general input, tip or experience are welcome...
thanx

Well i can guarantee that if you go lg you are getting a quality product....if you don't go with lg go with samsung as i just picked up one of there tvs and its phenomenal...not to mention all of the other quality products samsung and lg produce
Iv got the following and couldn't be happier LG really does make one of the best tv/monitors period...
52" Samsung @ 19xx/10xx
52" LG Scarlet @ 19xx/10xx
47" LG @1366/768
22" LG @ 1680/1050
The F engine is all that is different i recommend you get the one without the F engine because all that does is dim the display and make it bright and it can get annoying sometimes....
My 22" LG tv combo uses the F engine when i run it on hdmi and its annoying as hell to turn towards a dark wall and you can see the screen lower several brightness ratings....

i'll keep that in mind when i finally get a tv! @rewind: do you think thats the only extra feature it has? Since my friend recently got a samsung, im inclined towards the 2nd LG or the samsung.
Man im not really sure as iv yet to purchase an lg monitor....you will have a rock solid monitor going with samsung though so id say that is your best bet...
Yeah I've personally seen some Samsung monitors and they looks pretty sweet, I dunno how they preform tho. I have Dell monitor and it seems to do okay even thought the max res. is 1280*1024. HEHE. They are very expensive though.
