Why does everyone have to be so friendly around here?

Maq527 it would help if we knew what resolution you play at on your monitor and a price range wouldn't hurt either.

We could tell you just go get a 4870x2 but that could be way too much money or more card than your system needs.

We could say go get a HD4830 but then maybe you play at 2560x1600 and need more power.

Catch the drift?

I know aren't i so welcoming....his post is so pointless though with i want to play newer games post end.....

There are benchmarks all over the net on any card...all you should have to ask and these questions are usually easy to find anyways

Will my psu run it
Will my BLANK bottleneck it
How does it VS this card...etc

4830? He already has the Nvidia version of that card, the 9800GT. I agree we need a lot more info if he wants real help. What res he plays at is a must. What games he plays should be taken into account as well. How he knows he needs an upgrade at all would be awesome. (When I play X game at Y part, Z happens.) An 8400 @ 3GHz with an 9800GT should be enough for most things, he is doing something that needs more. The question is, what is that something?

The 4830 was just for examples sake, it wasn't meant as an actual recommendation. :)

Why doesn't anyone just give him the link to Tom's Hierarchy charts?

Then again it could be that he was TRYING to show off on what a GREAT card he has and doesn't need a new one

Or he doesn't know what he can achieve by overclocking
because he is obviously new to this.
