Are there talks of new processors coming out? i'm looking at a laptop with a P8600 2.4GHZ. I think that's the 45nm technology. Is anything coming out in the next few months?

There's always new stuff coming out, or prices dropping. The main thing I'd look for is to make sure your laptop can handle 4GB SODIMMS, for a max total of 8GB of RAM.
