Upgrading my processor

I just bought a new asus laptop (here). Ive done alot of research and just want to make sure im correct.

The asus has a P7350 Duo (1066MHz frontside bus, 3MB L2 cache and 2.0GHz processor speed), i found a great deal on a P8800 Quad (1066MHz frontside bus, 3MB L2 cache and 2.66GHz processor speed). I know how to swap out processors i just need to know that they will be compatible, they are both socket p.

Also since im going to have the case open and some artic silver, should i put some over the gpu or leave it alone?

My guess is that the P8800, even if you can get it installed, will overheat and fry under load. Of course, that's assuming the Asus BIOS supports the P8800.
