Hey guys,

pretty new to overclocking and was just wondering how my rig is for overclocking, along with the nice and cool antec 900 case.

I'm running stock everything at the mo since i just got it, but in the future im looking at ocing just to get a bit of an edge.

What SAFE speeds should i be looking to get with my rig and stock cooling? (i know every chip is different)

Cheers

(Please see sig for rig)

Well, what resolution do you play at?
I think you can easily OC it to 3.0GHz even with stock cooler and without raising the VCore, just watch the temps, do not get higher than 65'C.

It's safe as long as your CPU doesn't reach extreme temperatures. Can you tell us what temps your CPU reaches @stock? Run a stress test like Prime95 or OCCT. The general rule of thumb is 60C if you're interested in longevity, but I very much doubt that you'll be able to achieve that with the stock cooler.

I play on a 24" monitor at 1920x1200

How long do i have to run prime95 for to get a good avg load temp?
