Audio problem

why this message appear when i clicked the the audio in the tray, the message says: there are no active mixer devices available. to install mixer devices go to control panel ......... is this a virus related problem? since no sounds could be heard when this message appeared.. thanks

No. More likely, it is some kind of configuration problem.
