Hello everyone I have a little problem my asus board recently started not posting for some reason, no beeps for diag either but at the same time all fans run hdd boots up and it sounds like its getting too much power or something because when it wont post the fans run faster than normal the only way to get it to power up now is if i remove cmos battery and do a complete power drain so here is my tests im wondering if anyone has an idea here:

removed everything but 1 ram - no post
tried diff cpu - no post
diff ram - no post
diff power supply - no post
replace cmos battery - no post
flashed bios - no post
tried different case switch - no post
removed cpu fan plug just to try - no post
RMA to asus - returned with same no post problem

but again if i do a complete power drain it will run perfectly fine, could it be the bios chip??? its the only thing I can think of

all hardware that was in the broken pc was tested on another computer and works perfectly fine

im quite puzzeled

Welcome to the forums!

Try building outside the case.

Cardboard.
Do not use the bag the motherboard came with. It conducts electricity.
