I have a quick question... Before I format my hard drives I would like to know if windows Vista SP1 has raid drivers on the disk? I am trying to install windows 7, but all i have is the upgrade version, thus needing another windows os pre-installed. XP SP1 didnt read my raid1 array last night, so I would like to know either what xp or vista supports raid1 without needing to load drivers...

Thanks,
Tosh Taylor

It would help to know what brand/model RAID controller you have.

Windows 7 upgrade is the same as Windows 7 new. Microsoft finally got their act together and standardized the installation disks. (it's now the key code that controls what you get from the disk)

Copy them on to a USB stick just in case, its only XP that needs floppies for drivers.
Chances are Windows 7 will detect your RAID array using its inbuilt drivers anyway though.

Also as above, don't install Vista first.
