Hi, I just put together a new PC and I'm trying to see what I can squeeze out of it, so I was using CPU-Z for the first time and this kind of bugs me: http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/9940/cpuzve.png

Why does it say PCI-Express in the version (instead of PCI-Express 2.0) and why is link width x8 instead of x16?

The board: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func= [...] od_no=1846
The GPU: http://www.bfgtech.com/bfgr88512gtoce.aspx

Is it just CPU-Z's presentation that's lacking, or is something connected wrong/messed up in BIOS (1st system I did from scratch)?

It's the presentation. My three Gigabyte boards do the same thing.

Thanks jsc. Actually, it turned out to be the PCI-e slot I was using. Even though it's not labeled clearly anywhere in the manual, only the top PCI-e slot on MSI P55-G65 is x16. I had it plugged into the bottom one, thinking that either one could work as x16 as long as I don't try using them both, but I guessed wrong.
