Hi there... I have a somewhat new budget build. It gets 8500 on 3D Mark 06 and was wondering what would be the easiest way to get it higher?

PSU - Corsair vx450w
CPU - Intel Pentium DC E2200 2.2 ghz (stock)
GPU - MSI 9600GT 512mb (overclocked)
Mobo - XFX 610i (it doesn't have PCI-E 2.0, just 1.1)
RAM - Kingston 3mb DDR2 single channel

Would I be better off getting a mobo with PCI-E 2, or overclocking my CPU, or better ram? (I just got the video card so I don't want to replace that)

thanks!

+1 mousemonkey.
Check out the Overclocking Forum first.
Do n't bother too much about the PCI-E version, it will have no effect on your score.
Memory usually has a small impact on overall performance but may limit your overclock.

Yeah 3DM scores are really dependent on CPU clocks. If you OC your CPU pay close attention to the temps.

How is your RAM configured? 3 sicks of 1GB? Try taking out 1 stick and leaving two in slots 1 and 3 that way you will be in dual channel mode. Not sure how much dual channel helps with 3DM scores but it might bump it up a bit. Post back with your score, I am curious if it changes much.
