Bottleneck?

Hello all, thanks for your advice here.

I've got a relatively recent build: PDC E2200 @ 3.0GHz on air cooling, 3GB DDR-2 (running single channel), 9800 GT slightly overclocked 512mb, and a 7200 rpm HD.

In Far Cry 2 on High settings, I'm getting an average of about 35-40 FPS (win xp). Comparing with other benchmarks I've seen with the 9800 (albeit on a C2Q) get around 60ish.

What's my current bottleneck? Is it my CPU, or RAM?

4GB would help. Your FPS sounds about right though. I would guess an E7300 or E8400 would get you another 10FPS, RAM upgrade would mostly raise those minimum choke points up a few frames.

Your ram is only running in single channel??
Why that is only a 64 bit pathway as opposed to dual at 128bit...
