Sata hdd installed using adapter on ide mobo not booting.

i installed a new sata hdd on a older ide mobo using ultras adapter. i got the bios to recognize the new drive ,formated ,then copied my old drive to new using norton goast cause i want to use this drive as only dr. finished norton g copy all looked good until i shut dow and unhooked old dr. new drive wont boot. i tried all bios configurations but now am hooked back up to old drive with new.any ideas? should i wipe new drive cand try to copy again?

I would download either Boot-pro 3.3 (free) or Partition manager Home Edition (free) and take a look to see if your new drive is bootable and adjust it using this software!
Make sure the driver for the IDE to SATA adapter loads during post or the drive won't be recognized!

ok thanks .havent tried it yet but thought i would say adapter did not come with driver. ill get back after tryin software
