Please help me! I have really got no idea what to buy for my next build! I've been changing constantly, every day, my mind about which parts to get! Could you please help me  :bounce: ?!
I can only spend £715 (thats including VAT, exlcuding P&P, and excluding Vista (I am buying Home Premium 64 bit for sure).

I'm looking for a high end gaming system.

Please save me, after weeks of forum posts and looking at different parts :pt1cable:

Won't let me edit my post, so I'll leave a reply.

Here's some more details for you:
I'm probably going to overclock
I unfortunatly can't go over a budget of £715 ($1025).
I will be gaming for now on a 19" screen, with a max resolution of 1440x900, but will be upgrading to a 21/22" screen.

eVGA GTX 260 Core 216, 201 pounds

The total is 702 pounds.

If you're OK with AMD/ATI, there's a better deal here:

*OVERCLOCKED* AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 2.8GHz @ 3.5GHz (Skt AM3) / Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P Motherboard / Corsair 4GB DDR3 XMS3 PC2-1600C9DHX TwinX (2x2GB)/Arctic Cooling Freezer 356 pounds

That's 44 pounds more for CPU/MB/RAM than the Intel version (E8400/GA-EP45-UD3R/DDR2), but it includes an aftermarket cooler, overclocking is done and guaranteed, you get 3 cores instead of 2, ability to upgrade (AM3 is a new socket, while LGA775 has been abandoned), Crossfire.

This would work best with a Crossfire-able graphics card so you can add a second card eventually.

XFX HD 4870 1GB 167 pounds
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-120-XF

Total with this bundle and HD 4870 is 712 pounds.

It depends on who you ask. I've had a quad for two years now, and I definitely need all those cores, so I totally agree with you.

Still, today's games aren't smart enough to take advantage of 3 or 4 cores, except for FSX, GTA4, or special cases like running WoW twice (with a main character and a mule for example).

That's a really good cpu/mobo/memory deal. I was actually looking at the same exact parts on (U.S.) Newegg when there was a combo deal with the cpu/memory. That's probably the best board for DDR3/AM3 currently.
