Hi. Cold booting means starting you computer normally, that is turning on the computer when everything has been shut down and turned off by going to start \programs\turn off computer. A warm boot is when you restart you computer without shutting down. example if you install something and it says your computer needs restarting to finish the install do you wish to restart now?. If you click yes your computer restarts without shutting down first. This is a warm boot.
