I know,i started building pc from the wrong end, but anyway,i need advise what would be the best mobo for this video card. I am planning to put an intel core 2 duo cpu. probably E6600, so it should support core 2 duo processors. And that is pretty much it, any suggestions for that?

P.S. I know it is not new or powerful, etc, just need advice regarding mobo. Thanks! :)

^ Are you buying that CPU too ? Or you have it...
As for the mobo, P43/ P45 Chipset mobo would be good...
GIGABYTE GA-EP43-UD3L
ASUS P5QL/EPU LGA 775 Intel P43
ASUS P5Q SE PLUS
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3L
GIGABYTE GA-EP45T-UD3LR

I would also like a little bit of help but I am in a different bind and up the creek. I got a vintage 7900 gtx duo but none of my boards will boot it even when it is a lower slot with my 9800gt or my x1900xt. When it is in none of the card will display and the fans will be at max rpm. Odd still the lights on the ati card are normal that being off rather than on indicating a problem. :(

I was thinking about that cpu, haven't got it yet, maybe you got some better suggestions?

One more question: is only P43/ P45 Chipset mobo's are compatible with this video card or there are other ones as well?

^ What is the budget you have kept aside for the CPU and mobo ? Most of the mobos which have a PCIe x16 slot would support that graphics card...

As i am building low-to mid specs pc, i would say that around $130 for CPU and the same for mobo or ~$260 for both. At least,i was considering somewhere within that range.

Do you have any website links from where you can shop? and would newegg do ? And aer you reusing any part other than the graphics cards ?

Amm,i have thermaltake soprano case, where i am planning to put my stuff, but i think it is spaciuos enough. Also, i have one raptor and one wd HDD. But i dont think it makes great difference. + the Graphic card about which all the hassle is.

Well,i am based in UK,so here is not a great deal of websites where i can shop around, most common probably are ebuyer.com, amazon.co.uk, sometimes ebay.
Just, if you could post model numbers, i usually able to find them.

CPU intel i think would be a bit better, but i dont mind newer amd's (e.g. phenom)

ANd thanks for your help :)
