Hey guys,

I just bought the Thermaltake Frio and am wondering if the size of this monstrous cooler will block the first RAM slot on the Asus P6X58D-Premium mobo. Havent bought the Mobo yet but pretty sure im going to soon.

Any pics of this setup would be helpful too.

Thanks!

Don't know specifically but I'd check reviews like Frostytech's:

I haven't had any coolers that blocked slots with standard ramsinks although I have heard of some folks having trouble with certain models. I have tall heatsinks (OCZ reaper) so that is an issue for me. I imagine any cooler that blocks ram slots will get dinged in a review.

It depends on the MB too though. My Gigabyte P55-UD4P puts the DIMMs really close to the socket, so that my 212+ only barely squeezes by my GSkill Ripjaws coolers.

Ok that helps me out some. I know you usually want to place RAM in the first 1st, 3rd, and 5th DIMM slots for best tri channel results. Thanks guys.
