Hi

I made a terrible mistake.
I wanted to format my computer.
I booted from the windows xp CD I deleted all partitions on my computers.
I didn't think that my USB harddrives would show on the list of harddrives so i deleted the partitions on them too!
I DID NOT FORMAT them, just deleted the partition, it took a second.
Please tell me I can get my data back! and how.

Thank you.
I'm desperate

You'll need to try to do some data recovery here. You're mostly likely SOL though.

They have some software that may be of use. Just google "data recovery" or something to that effect.

try a "partition undelete software". Most of them work perfectly.

I used "recovery software" in google.
it led me to RecoverMyFiles wich I tried and it did everything I wanted. All my files are saved!
Just know that the free version doesn't allow you to save the files you find... I had to get the full version.

I guess I overreacted,
But thanks everyone.

Try asking your local geek friend - about the software. (. .)
