Motherboards for AMD II X4 620: Quad Core

Instead of buying more RAM memory for my PC, maybe I can somehow convert my FIC K8-800T mother board in my Northgate Athlon 64 to use the AMD II X4 620 Quad Core for upgrading.But the PC has a Socket 754 AMD. Is this wishfull thinking or what? Be nice I'm old >71.
