Hey guys, I'm in a dilemma here and I'd like to get it solved within the next hour or so I can make the order and get my new video card tomorrow. Anyways, this is my scenario. I originally wanted to purchase the sapphire HD 4830 and right now its on newegg for $99.95. They also have "open box" on this product for $72.95 which I'd definitely be willing to get, but not too sure if it's worth the gamble. If I decide not to get the refurb, then I'd have to get it for retail at $99.95. However, if I spend $20 more I can get the sapphire HD 4850 and was wondering if there is a huge difference between those cards in that it'll be worth spending the extra money. Well any type of advice would be great, I'd prefer to go with the refurb, but I've heard very mixed things on open box products from new egg. Thanks!

Wait a week and buy the new 4770 for the best of both worlds.

Thanks for the reply. Is the 4770 an in between of the two? And do you have any idea on prices for this?

$99, and it's 3-5% slower than a 4850 while consuming less power. Released on the 28th, although there were rumours that it was out today AMD said it's the 28th as planned.

No problem. I've been holding off for ages on this card and almost bought various 4830's. I can wait a few more days too. :D
