Active directory users computers windows xp is not there

when i formatted my hard disk , some of my folder have been encrypted so i cannot open them. When i try to add user to open them, there were no users to add. so i try another solution by creating data recovery agent. I cannot create one because the computer wants a (cer.) file or something like that. i create a certificate using MMC, it also doesn't works. Then i open the Reg Editor and create a DWORD and add the value to 1. Nothing happen also.So,,, what is going on????

What exactly have you done? Did you have an installation of Windows and then formatted the whole drive? Did you have several partitions? Had you used the file encryption in advance?
