Question Upgrading Mid-End Gamer

I currently have a MSI AM2 Mobo with an AMD FX (2.8 DC OCed to 3.0 gig). Essentially it is similar a AMD X2 6000. Either way the Motherboard is an older AM2 socket that will not accept AM2+. I am considering the following CPUS, any suggestions?

PII 720 BE
PII 550 BE
Phenom 9550

They are all very similar price, and from what I have read most people are pushing the 720 but since the 9550 dropped in price, I figured that may be an option.

Set up
AMD FX 2.8gig dual core
MSI Platinum Dual Core
ATI 4850 HD 512mb
PSU 950 watt Corsair ( got it from work lol)
4 gig Corsair Dominator DDR2
