what are the differences between a desktop and a work station.

its mostly terminology. But, normally a work station (office workstation) lack power when it comes to graphics card. they will normally have a stronger process for crunching OS based programs like Office,Adobe, etc. Desktops have always been a normal term and by todays standards are considered more of a home pc that is more well rounded .
