Good parts for the most part. The price on the Mobo and CPU seems a bit high. $200+ for a dual core CPU and mobo just seems high to me. Depending on what you want to do, you might want to get the new Athlon x4 620. Quad core CPU for $99, can't be beat. Will be better for CPU tasks, but a bit behind the x2 550 for gaming. You've got quality parts there, so your ok to buy if you want those parts.

Looks pretty good; the propos 620 is also out at newegg for $99, but few details yet on whether it overclocks well. Be sure you test your board on a non conductive surface with the cpu/heatsink, memory, video, and keyboard only and see if it posts before mounting it in the case; could save time in the long run. I would also download the asus board manual and read it, especially the memory section. Recommended memory should be listed on asus website.
i plan on useing this for gaming, and what ive read it says that the amd cpu and the asus mobo are worth the price, i really dont want to have to overclock it unless its easy, i would just like to have one thats good at the orignal ghz.
if you have links to them it would be nice
edit
i just read a bunch of reviews on the cpu, and i noticed that a lot of the ppl say that it can be unlocked to quad core, so.. would that be possible for the mobo its paired with?

I think so, but I'm not sure if the 790GX will do it. I know the 790FX along with the SB750 will, as will the new 785. You also need the SB750 as thats what has the ACC setting you need to change. I don't know if that motherboard will, but the odds are in your favor.
I wasn't sure what your usage for the machine was. A 4670 doesn't imply that your gaming. If you want a gaming machine, your better off sticking with the CPU you chose. (unless you like sim/RTS games, then your better off with the quad.)

as in the 4670 do you mean the graphic card?
if that is so then i do plan on getting a newer one later on, but atm i just plan on using the one i have and only play some Counter Strike Source and other half life 2 mods.
but once i get the comp up and running and it all works and i got all my data transfered i will then look into getting ahigh end graphic card, that is if theres going to be a new pc game out that i want.
i say that because i can play fallout 3 on low settings with my old comp(2.8ghz single core), i dont hope to have a giant leap in speed, but with what i found it looks like i am going to. and i also got a xbox i plan on getting most new for, not pc.
