GTX 200s cooling

Hi all, does anyone know a good cooler for the GT200 series? GTX 285 specifically

yea, or a water block on Newegg, but really, the stock cooler is fine. Have you tried Rivatuner yet to change fan speed?

There are a few VGA coolers that you can buy for the GTX 285, but you might as well just rev up the fan speed and get the same results.
Water cooling is pretty great, but it is costly.

But I suggest that you turn up the fan speed and try that before getting a new cooler.

I think the NVidia GTX 275 is a nicer card overall (idle power, audio input, fan noise).

I think he already has the GTX 285......but thanks for the input, even if it was unnecessary and unhelpful.

Get a copy of EVGA precision 1.7 and bump the fan speed to 60%+

The 275 and 285 have same cooler, audio input and power is pretty minor differences..

How about the fan wiring if you wanted to hook the GTX fan up to a controller? Say a NXZT Sentry LX? Is that possible or safe??? Does anyone know what each of the 4 BLACK wires are that come out of the GPU fan and which one would be the control lead?...... I opened the card (GTX 275) and was hoping to snag a lead to control fan speed via my new Sentry. I know this is old, but Tom said I can still post. =)
