I'm looking at buying a 9800GTX from nvidia.

But when looking at chipsets I'm left a little baffled by some of the info on the net. "DirectX 10 compatible chipset" implies that I'll need to upgrade my motherboard just to be able to use DX10?

Would this also mean I couldn't use VISTA? -As well as not being able to play games in DX10?

I was looking at the 720a and the 630a.

(AMD CPU)

Vista just supports DirectX 10, its not as if you have to have a DX10 video card to use it. So as long as you are using the 9800GTX and Vista, you will be able to play games in DX10.

Could you please give us a link of where it says that?
