External HDD showing wrong size

Hello,

My external drive shows 34G used, when i see the disk property, but when i go into the drive, select all files and foledrs and their properties showing only 12G. Will there be any old data available on this drive ? if so, how can i recover ?

You may not be seeing all the hidden files. Also have you emptied the recycling bin.

Hidden files if u have it used to software thats installed etc. Secondly, have u mistakenly set it as any sort of Pagefile or similar feature?
