SSD - The Performance Upgrade of the Future
hi, i am planning to upgrade my current Intergrated Gfx to the HD 4670! but i am not sure if it can run on my PSU.(attached the screenshot below!) my system configuration is: Core 2 Duo E4500 3GB DDR2 RAM 160GB SATA HDD Intel 945GCNL Mobo My monitor is a 17'' CRT so my gaming resolutions would be atmost 1280x1024. Does a 4670 require an additional 6 pin connector or does it take the power from the Mobo? Final Query:which one should i go for 1GB or 512MB? i heard games like gta 4 use the extra memory for storing textures! Screenshot of my Power
Yes, you can. The HD 4670 does not require an additional 6 pin power connector, it only uses 47w of power. Not sure if the HD 4670 is actually fast enough to take advantage of 1GB of RAM, and your resolution is relatively low.
ok thanks! i googled about the 1GB thing and came to know that it is slower than the 512MB because of lower memory bandwidth!
