hi i have got a packardbell amd athlon desktop i know absolutely nothing about computers but i want to put in a nvidia card to run games that i play and dont know if this tower is compatible where i think it is to be put in the tower it says ms-6511 ver:1 instead of pci express(which is broke ) . Can anyone tell me if it is possible to put in an nvidia card if so which one i know i need it to be a series 6, 6600 or more card

An nvidia 6600 card won't play much of anything these days....so either that says your on a budget or just uneducated on current cards etc...

 

You said "which is broke"....care to elaborate on that a bit chief?

 

There would be no use in continuing this thread if you have a broken pci express slot...

 

What is your monitors resolution and what games would you like to play?

 

Is this your motherboard? if so no gaming for you...

You need to list your exact athlon cpu...if its below 4000+ don't expect much gaming...if its below 3000+ you might as well drop it in the trash FOR GAMING(nice linux box ;) )

I don't know what you mean by "which is broke" but you never had a PCI-express slot. It's AGP. Time for a new system.
