How Futureproof?

If I were to build a new desktop computer with something similar to the following specs:

■i7 920
■6GB DDR3 1600MHz
■GTX 260 Video Card

How future proof would this be? Would I be able to fully enjoy Windows 7 when it hits the stores?

Its about as future proof as you can get, and yes windows 7 will be very nice on that system.

I'd say spend a little more to get a 260 216. If you need more performance you can just drop in another 260 sp 216 or two latter on (if funds allow) and overclock your CPU.
