Do I install GPU/Motherboard Software before Win 8?

I tried installing Windows 8, but the install crashed. I was wondering whether I should install the things from the CDs that came with my motherboard and GPU first?

Thanks

Nope. I get to the screen with the Windows 8 logo, a loading circle, and "getting ready" and then the computer just shuts off.

It's a clean install--just assembled the machine a couple days ago.

I talked to Microsoft Support today, and a rep told me that it was possible that my mobo wasn't compatible with Win 8. Is that possible?

Turn off raid or ahci, only go sata , to load drivers you choose to setup manually choose the disk you want to format, choose load driver, make sure you download your drivers in extracted format onto a usb drive before you start and your done. I suspect you have raid or ahci in bios enabled.

Mobo not compatible with windows 8? Rofl, goes to show you how poorly educated the people that work for microsoft can be at lower levels. If it is using any mobo made within the past couple of years, you are good. Take his suggestion too ^
