I'm totally a newbie. First I was intrested on the 9800 gtx + it needed two pci e connectors which I am using 1 pci e and two perherpial or molex, then I was looking at the gts 250, the difference was the clock is faster. The 250 needs only 1 pci e. Which got me worried my powersupply's rails are 18amps each. If I add them up its more then enough for the 9800 gtx+ , I also got convinced that it does add up the two rails since one is pci e connector and other the other pci e. The 250 has only 1 pci e, this makes me concerened, will the pci e only supply one rail which is 18 amps or am I really dumb and misunderstanding this.
The 250 has one connector beause it consumes less power than the 9800GTX+ (called progress). You have nothing to worry about with your dual 18amp rails.
